Homeopathy for PMS and menstrual pain

Homeopathy and menstrual pain – does that fit? Almost every woman is familiar with pain before and during her period. But while some only feel a slight ache in their abdomen, for others, the days are downright torture. Cramping abdominal pain, headaches or migraine attacks, circulatory problems, and mood swings accompany menstrual bleeding in many women. To alleviate these symptoms, sufferers often swallow painkillers or even hormones. Many are looking for a gentler way to make their period more bearable. How can homoeopathy help reduce PMS symptoms? Which globules are the right ones? We give tips.

Homeopathy: application and field of application

Homeopathic remedies work according to the principle of similars. They treat like with like and thus produce precisely the same symptoms in healthy people that are supposed to be cured in sick people. At the same time, however, homoeopathy can help alleviate the symptoms of many diseases.

One difficulty many people face is finding just the right kind of globules. The best way to do this is to contact specialists, such as doctors with additional homoeopathic training or naturopaths. Then, it is essential to describe the symptoms in detail and precisely.

Once the correct remedy has been found, the dosage and the intake rhythm also play an essential role in homoeopathy. The globules should either melt on the tongue or be dissolved in a glass of water. You should vigorously stir the water with the beads with a wooden or plastic spoon. Coffee and toothpaste should be avoided shortly.

Homeopathy for PMS

When it comes to premenstrual syndrome (PMS), women often have very different pain and symptoms. Five Cimicifuga D12 globules can be taken twice a day for headaches, circulatory problems, lower abdominal pain with cramps, skin problems and depression. Use these globules from the 14th day of the cycle until bleeding begins.

If you are struggling with PMS symptoms such as insomnia, exhaustion, severe headaches or migraines, blurred vision and dizziness, weepy mood and tight chest pains, Cyclamen D6 can help. Use five globules twice a day from the 14th day of the cycle until the onset of your period.

Before menstruation, some women also experience cold-like symptoms and headaches and are tired and irritable. Magnesium carbonicum D12 can help here. Take five globules twice daily from the 14th day of the cycle until the onset of bleeding.

During the menstrual period, severe abdominal pain is usually the biggest problem for the women affected. But these complaints can also express themselves differently and have various side effects, which should be treated individually.

  • For cramping pain relieved by heat, take five Magnesium phosphoricum D4 globules every hour on the first day. After that, five globules three to four times a day are enough; if you improve, you can reduce further.
  • Chamomilla D6 helps with colicky pain that improves with heat, dark bleeding, flatulence, vomiting, irritability and great sensitivity to pain. In the beginning, take five globules every hour, then only five globules three to four times a day.
  • Veratrum album D6 helps with severe menstrual pain with circulatory problems, a tendency to faint, cold sweat, nausea, vomiting and watery diarrhoea. You should also swallow five globules every hour on the first day and then reduce the intake rhythm to three to four times daily.
  • If you are already suffering from severe, cramping pain that extends into the legs, poor circulation and nervousness before the bleeding begins, Viburnum opulus D4 can help. Take five pellets every hour on the first day, then reduce to three to four times daily.
