Mild corona course: what to do?
A corona infection usually leads to a mild course of COVID-19, especially in vaccinated people. The infection is usually noticeable through slight symptoms such as shortness of breath, coughing, runny nose, tiredness and sore throat and body aches  – a positive rapid test or a PCR test provides certainty. But what should you do at home if you have a mild infection, which medications can relieve the symptoms and are home remedies useful for a mild course of the corona virus?
1. Mild corona infection: rest and sleep necessary!
As with a flu infection or a cold  , the body needs a lot of rest with a corona infection. The body also has to defend itself against a mild course, the immune system is working at full speed in the background. Despite mild symptoms, those affected should therefore allow their bodies to rest and get enough sleep to recover.
In order to keep the circulation going, sick people should ventilate regularly and not just lie down.
2. Corona infection: medication if the course is mild
In the case of a mild course of the disease, symptom-oriented medication and therapy methods are recommended. These include:
- Painkillers for headaches and body aches, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen
- Mucolytic for colds and congested sinuses
- Cortisone  against inflammation
If you have any questions or problems, you should call your family doctor and discuss possible measures together. Medical advice is also recommended if your health changes.
3. Slight breathing problems with a mild course – this can help
Sitting upright can help with very slight breathing problems, and the coach seat in particular can help here. The arms are supported on the legs and the chest is relieved, which should make breathing easier.
In order to check the oxygen content in the blood regularly, a pulse oximeter can also be used with the consultation of a doctor. However, urgent medical attention is required if breathing difficulties persist, become severe or worsen.
4. Drink enough: fluids are important if the corona virus is mild
Even with a mild course of the corona virus, the body needs sufficient liquid. Water or tea  help to maintain fluid balance.
Alcoholic beverages should be avoided during the infection, as alcohol can also weaken the body.
