Protein drinks according to Dr. Ulrich Strunz
Bestselling author Dr. Ulrich Strunz claims: If you want to lose weight, you can still eat more. In his book “die diet” he promises fewer pounds and more joie de vivre – with the right balance of vital substances , protein and exercise. For Dr. Strunze a sign of deficiency. The building blocks that boost fat loss are missing: protein and amino acids .
Losing weight through hormones
At the same time, the nutrient deficiency mimics a starvation scenario, so the hormones start storing fat in the fat cells. The result: body weight increases. Hormones are for Dr. Strunz the key to becoming and staying slim: the stress hormone cortisol and insulin make the pounds grow.
Testosterone and the growth hormone STH, on the other hand, boost fat burning – if they are properly stimulated:
- Testosterone production is boosted (also in women) by zinc , manganese, protein, muscle training, running, walking and positive thinking.
- The growth hormone STH is primarily produced during deep sleep. Meditation and muscle training also promote production – provided there are enough protein building blocks available.
Nutritional program in three stages
The nutrition program by Dr. Ulrich Strunz consists of three stages:
- Vital Fatburning
- Interval Diet
- Forever Young Diet
In the following we present these stages in more detail.
Stage 1: Vital fat burning
This strategy makes it possible to lose up to a kilo per day. The key to success: Only protein and vital substances are allowed. They bring fat burning into high gear, because the body has to constantly fall back on its fat deposits in order to utilize protein. And so it goes:
- Protein drink: Every four hours there is a protein drink that can be mixed with milk  or combined with fruit, depending on taste . The contained amino acids release the growth hormone HGH – the fat melts. In addition, the immune system is stimulated. Protein can also be taken as a concentrate from the pharmacy (preferably with carnitine, the crucial substance for burning fat).
- Fruit, salad and vegetables: Fruit, salad and vegetables ignite the second stage of fat burning. Minimum amount per day 800 grams. The best sequence: fruit salad for breakfast (with nuts  and grains – without bananas, dates, pineapples, apricots). At lunchtime, a salad made from seasonal leaf lettuce, supplemented with vegetables and pieces of fresh apple. In the evening steamed vegetables or salad.
- Phosphorus, zinc, magnesium and vitamin C : no diet works without them: They are the most important fuels for smooth fat burning. This diet phase of Vital Fatburning usually lasts a week, but it can be extended as desired. The numerous recipes in the book show what must be on the shopping list for Vital Fatburning.
But nutrition alone is not enough: 30 minutes of sport a day gets the metabolism  going, for example Nordic walking: This type of walking with two sticks trains the body holistically, the pulse is increased to the level for optimal fat burning, the shoulder and shoulder muscles are strengthened Chest muscles are tightened. Stage 2: interval diet
From the second week, each vital fat burning day is followed by a forever young day. The interval principle of the diet prevents the so-called “yo-yo effect”, which is caused by the body slowing down the metabolism and the weight increasing again.
Stage 3: Forever Young Diet

Protein drinks according to Dr. Ulrich Strunz
As part of Stage 1 of Dr. Ulrich Strunz has a protein drink every four hours, which can be mixed with milk or combined with fruit, depending on taste. Here you will find a selection of protein drinks according to Dr. streak:
Fig Buttermilk
- Ingredients: two fresh figs (no green ones), two teaspoons of whole sea buckthorn fruit with honey , two tablespoons of sour milk, two tablespoons of protein powder (from the pharmacy), 100 milliliters of ice-cold buttermilk , 50 milliliters of still mineral water, a pinch of cinnamon.
- Preparation: Finely puree the flesh of the figs with the sea buckthorn  and sour milk. Add the egg white powder  and buttermilk and mix again briefly. Fill with water and season with cinnamon. Garnish with a fig wedge and one or two cinnamon sticks. Drink immediately.
Kiwi-Grapefruit-Drink
- Ingredients:Â one kiwi (100 grams), a sprig of mint, two teaspoons of lemon juice, two teaspoons of maple syrup, 150 milliliters of grapefruit juice, two tablespoons of protein powder, three ice cubes.
- Preparation:Â Cut a kiwi slice for the garnish. Peel and dice the kiwi, puree with lemon juice, maple syrup and half the grapefruit juice in a blender for 15 seconds. Add egg white powder and remaining juice, mix again for 10 seconds. Pour mixture into a glass with ice cubes, garnish with kiwi and mint.
Apple elderberry drink
- Ingredients:Â A piece of apple (about 75 grams), 2 teaspoons lemon juice, 2 teaspoons acacia honey, 75 milliliters cold unsweetened apple juice, 2 tablespoons egg white powder, 75 milliliters cold elderberry nut juice (health food store), three ice cubes, a sprig of lemon balm.
- Preparation:Â Wash the apple, peel, cut into pieces, add to the blender with the lemon and apple juice, puree. Mix again briefly with the protein powder and elderberry juice. Pour into a glass with ice cubes, garnish with lemon balm and apple wedges.
