Pumpkin Spice Latte – Recipe for the popular trendy drink

Whether as a puree, pumpkin soup or cake: Pumpkin impresses with its earthy-sweet note. The vegetable is also particularly popular as a drink. Pumpkin Spice Latte is a flavorful coffee drink with pumpkin. This is how you easily prepare the soul warmer yourself.
Recipe: Pumpkin Spice Latte
Pumpkin puree is required for the recipe. You can buy it ready made, but you can also easily make it yourself. To do this, a pumpkin must be halved and the seeds removed. It is then placed skin side up on a baking tray and baked at around 200 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. The flesh is done when the skin rises slightly and ripples. Then the soft inside can be separated and mashed.
Ingredients for the delicious pumpkin drink
For two large mugs (400 ml each) you will need:
- 100 grams of pumpkin puree
- 300 ml milk or vegan milk substitute
- 200 ml freshly brewed espresso
- 1 tbsp agave syrup
- 1 level teaspoon of cinnamon
- nutmeg
- Nelkenpulver
- Ground ginger (alternatively grated fresh ginger)
- Pepper
- 1 vanilla bean
Preparation of the Pumpkin Spice Latte
How to make the Pumpkin Spice Latte:
- Halve the vanilla pod and scrape out the pulp. Pick up the pod.
- Put the pumpkin puree in a saucepan, add the agave syrup, spices and vanilla pulp.
- Fill up with 200 ml milk, put in the vanilla bean.
- Boil while stirring. Then remove the pod.
- Boil and froth the remaining milk.
- Divide the spiced milk between two large mugs and pour in the fresh espresso. Put the milk froth on the cups and dust with some cinnamon.
