Test: Is your prostate enlarged?
An enlarged prostate often causes typical symptoms. With this self-test, you can determine whether you are showing the corresponding signs and whether a medical examination of the prostate is advisable.
The test was created and modified on the basis of the so-called International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), which is used to assess and evaluate the symptoms of benign prostate enlargement (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH). If the disease is already known, this questionnaire can also be used to document the course of the symptoms.
Please note, however, that only a medical examination enables an accurate diagnosis to be made, as other diseases can also cause the symptoms. This test can only provide you with initial information and support you in recognizing typical signs. However, it does not replace a preventive medical check-up.
