Typical male diseases
Typical male diseases are, for example, diseases of the prostate and problems caused by erectile dysfunction. But also many other gender-specific problems such as testicular inflammation and undescended testicles, but also benign prostate enlargement and narrowing of the foreskin are possible male diseases. While undescended testicles or narrowing of the foreskin usually affects children and younger men, prostate disorders and erectile dysfunction are mostly found in the category of male disorders over 50.
In addition, many liver diseases are also referred to as typical male diseases, since women are significantly less affected by these diseases. In many cases, the onset of hormonal changes in men, which become noticeable from around the age of 50 through a variety of disorders, are assigned to men’s diseases from the age of 50.
